INTRO TO PIANO OVERVIEW

FORMAT

FORMAT: In-person, group class

CLASS LENGTH: 30 minutes

FREQUENCY: weekly

SESSION LENGTH: 24 weeks

3. JOIN A ROCK BAND: At the end of your Intro to Drums session, your child will be ready to join a Jr. Rock Band!

INTRO TO PIANO LEVEL I

  • Let's get this piano party started! Intro to Piano will introduce your child to the basics on piano and set them up with a strong foundation for all things music. Whether your child has finished our Bigger Beats program or is starting to learn piano for the first time, this is the class for them.
  • PREREQUISITE: None
  • PROGRAM LENGTH: 24 weeks

INTRO TO PIANO LEVEL II

  • Let's keep a good thing going! Intro to Piano - Level II will build off the piano foundation your child built in Level I while challenging them to explore new musical territory. Level II is also the perfect class to take while your child is in our Junior Rock Band program.
  • PREREQUISITE: Intro to Piano - Level I or one year of private piano lessons
  • PROGRAM LENGTH: 24 weeks

WHAT EXACTLY IS INTRO TO PIANO?  

Intro to Piano is a small group class for students who are brand new to piano (Level I) or students who have taken between 6 -12 months of private piano lessons (Level II).

Our unique curriculum is collaboration-based and uses rock classics and kid-centered teaching techniques to get your child pumped about piano while challenging them to grow as a musician. The best part is that after completing a session of Intro to piano, your child will be ready to play in their very own Rock Band!

HOW DO I KNOW IF INTRO TO PIANO IS RIGHT FOR MY CHILD?

If your child is between the ages of 7-10 and they're brand new or relatively new to learning piano, then Intro to Piano was designed with them in mind.

If your child does well learning with friends in a group setting and is motivated by the opportunity to play in their own Rock Band, then Intro to Piano will be a great fit for them.
